One of the big attractions for the day will be an Auction of Promises, which will take place in the early afternoon of Sunday the 21st May, during the Vintage Sale at Wyville Village Hall, NG32 1AJ. There will also be a raffle with a range of fantastic prizes.

Here’s our current auction and raffle list. We are slowly adding more items, so do please check back later.

You will take off from Stoke Rochford and the flight will last for at least an hour, although 4 hours should be allowed for the whole experience.

A round of golf for four people at Stapleford Park. The course was designed by the renowned architect Donald Steel and boasts ever-changing views of the House, its lakes and 500-acre park. The course wraps around the heart of the estate in two extended loops, never being more than two holes wide, making golf here reminiscent of the great links courses. With thanks to the management at Stapleford Park

Dinner for six at Hungerton Hall, catered by Isabel (from the Hall). We’ll provide an amazing location and superb food, all you need is a group of up to six people and to provide your drinks for the evening. The menu on offer can be taken from a fairly wide selection, or just leave it up to Isabel who will make sure it’s a night to remember – for all the right reasons!

A night for two at the deluxe Manor Farm House B&B, courtesy of Manor Farm House. Peaceful Stays in a c17th home deep in the beautiful Vale of Belvoir at Colston Bassett, with a gourmet village pub (the Martins Arms), horses, tranquillity, bohemian elegance and wide open skies. Manor Farm House is a lovingly restored grade II listed house, built in 1625, with a peaceful atmosphere and a rich history stretching back to the English Civil War when it was home to Col Francis Hacker, Civil War revolutionary, and Isabel his Quaker wife.

A one hour flight for one  in a light aeroplane, flying from Barkestone Aerodrome near Grantham. The pilot will be able to provide the flight during July or August and that the successful bidder be should aware of that and be prepared to be flexible. The maximum passenger weight with all luggage is 90kg. This is not to say that a more robust bidder should be put off from participating, as the flight date gives them ample opportunity to lose what excess weight they have… 🙂

A PADI ‘Discover SCUBA’ course for two people aged over 14 years old (no upper age limit!) at Cranwell swimming pool, courtesy of Dive-a-lot Scuba. Discover Scuba Diving is recreational diving in which an uncertified diver uses a scuba set to breathe underwater under the direct supervision of a qualified instructor. It is an experience intended to introduce people to the sport of diving without committing to a full course. All equipment will be provided.

Afternoon tea for two at Stapleford Park. Sink into the soft plump cushions of the Drawing Room, glistening chandeliers above, portraits and landscapes adorning the walls… Perhaps the inviting window seat overlooking the grounds, or the comfortable sofas in front of the fire… Wherever you decide, afternoon tea at Stapleford Park is an enviable treat. With thanks to the management at Stapleford Park.

Half an award winning Colston Bassett Stilton Cheese, courtesy of the Colston Bassett Dairy. Colston Bassett Stilton is now regarded as one of the best traditionally made hand ladled and rubbed, naturally crusted Stiltons in the world. Little has changed since they started making cheese in 1913, and they still use the milk from four of the original local farms that set up the co-operative in the beginning. The cheese being offered is a half-stilton truckle (approximately 4kg).

A handmade birthday or celebration cake, made by Isabel at Hungerton Hall. Whether it be for a children’s birthday, or a celebration cake, Isabel will work with you to create a wonderful and very more-ish cake that is perfect for your special occasion (… or perhaps not for any occasion other than it’s a cake day!)
