about hungerton

Hungerton and Wyville are the two small hamlets which make up the Hungerton estate. Occupying 1200 acres of Lincolnshire countryside, and populated with arable land, woodland, ponds and a large flock of sheep, the land is beautiful and productive. The estate was bought by Elizabeth and Dennis LeMarchant in 1939, and is now run by their granddaughter, Isabel. Much of the farm is protected by the government for its exceptional heritage status, and as such we are lucky to see a huge amount of wildlife. From the deer, hares, badgers and foxes that inhabit the ground, to the noisy Canada Geese, soaring Red Kites, and countless species of small birds and insects that animate the air, every season brings its own joys and surprises.
